Translating Data into Global Policy
ICP Forests has monitored forest health globally since 1985, collecting vital data on air pollution and climate change. In 2018, we worked with them to introduce a new format – short, impactful Briefs designed to distil scientific insight into actionable content for decision-makers and the general public.
We supported ICP Forests from the beginning, shaping these Briefs into an effective communication tool. Five editions later, the format continues to showcase the impact of forest ecosystems on global sustainability, helping the organisation reach new audiences and influence national and international environmental policies.

Making Complex Data Clear
To help readers understand complex environmental science, we created a series of bespoke infographics. From nitrogen transfer to forest health trends, each visual was designed to explain key concepts clearly, improving accessibility and sparking engagement across audiences.
What They Say

Design That Drives Attention
We developed a clean, professional layout for the Briefs that combines structured content with rich imagery, infographics, and callouts. This editorial style highlights key insights, making each Brief easy to navigate while preserving the integrity of the data and messaging.

Turning Science Into Action
Communicating scientific knowledge to non-specialists is a challenge, especially when the goal is to influence global climate and environmental policy. But it’s a challenge we regularly rise to overcome. Our approach focuses on accessibility, with refined language, bold visual tools, and carefully considered layouts.
Each Brief delivers insight that informs and inspires action. By working closely with ICP Forests, we helped ensure that their environmental research doesn’t just sit in reports, but reaches the right people, at the right time, in the right way.
